Over 200 elite jet ski riders from 21 countries across five continents—Europe, the Americas, Asia, Oceania, and Africa—have descended on Osaka to ignite the world's most thrilling water sport championship!






On May 15, 2025, the opening ceremony day of this adrenaline-fueled championship series, the official launch of the WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2025 took place with an impressive opening ceremony at Nishikinohama Beach, Osaka.
The event was graced by several prominent figures:
• Mr. Takashi Takeshita, Executive Chairperson of Osaka City Council and Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai Committee Member
• Mr. Matsushisa Kojima, Chairman of the Japan Powerboat Association
• Ms. Naomi Yamazaki, Chairwoman of the Japan Jet Sports Association
• Mr. Parikhet Subsahakarn (“Big Drake”), Tournament Director of WGP#1
• Mr. Fully Aswar, President of the Asian Association of Waterjet Federation
Together, they officially launched the world's most prestigious jet ski series into action!
Mr. Takashi Takeshita expressed Osaka’s pride in being the host city:
"Osaka is honored to welcome athletes and fans from across the globe. This year, not only are we hosting the World Expo 2025 from April to October, but we’re also thrilled to have been selected by WGP#1 to host the World Jet Ski Championship once again—after successfully staging the Asian Championships last year."
He continued, "Nishikinohama Beach and the city of Osaka are now recognized as one of the premier jet ski racing destinations in the world. We extend a warm welcome to everyone here for this historic event."
Mr. Parikhet Subsahakarn, Tournament Director of the WGP#1 and the right owner of WGP#1, shared his pride:
"This is a proud moment for the global jet ski community—and especially for Thailand. WGP#1 World Series has truly gone global. The Osaka Grand Prix 2025 has attracted over 200 top riders from 21 nations, and the event will be broadcast live to over 200 million households worldwide, cementing our status as the #1 jet ski tournament on the planet.”
He added : “We’re also looking ahead to the grand finale: WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup 2025, set for December in Thailand. We’re expecting over 3,000 international athletes to participate, delivering enormous economic and tourism value for the country.”
