BURGAS, BULGARIA – The Black Sea is set to become a high-octane battleground as the WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2026 season opener descends upon Sarafovo Beach in Burgas, Bulgaria, from July 8–12. With elite riders from 32 nations converging for the most prestigious tournament on the calendar, all eyes are locked on the PRO RUNABOUT 2000 GP—the fastest and most powerful class in professional waterjet racing.

The Legends’ Last Stand The entry list reads like a hall of fame, featuring the sport’s most decorated veterans. Leading the charge is the “ Prince of France” François Medori (#4), the 2025 World Series runner-up, hungry to clinch the top spot. He is joined by two of the sport’s most formidable icons: Hungarian tactical master Gyorgy Kasza (#5), the 2016 World Cup champion, and Great Britain’s James Bushell (#158), the two-time consecutive World Cup champion. These veterans bring a level of experience and technical refinement that defines championship-caliber racing.

The Rising Threat The storyline for this year’s Grand Prix is defined by the “Class Jumpers”—the young lions moving up to challenge the status quo.
