#66 Muhammed Burbayea, A Champion of France

#66 Muhammed Burbayea won his first trophy of the year in the tournament "WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2023", Round 2, between 27-30 July 2023, at Vichy, France. He has officially proclaimed himself “The Champion of France”.

The most talked about class for the watersports fans is this PRO Runabout GRAND PRIX, the world's fastest and strongest watercraft. The second round this year is with 13 racers from 11 countries participating in this class, especially, two famous homegrown racers, #1 Jeremy Perez, the Champion of “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series” 2022 and a top rider, #4 François Medori. Also racing for this trophy are big names in the jet ski world including world champions from Kuwait, #66 Muhammed Burbayea, the two-time Champion 2021 and 2019 “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series”, #38 Mohammed Albaaz, the Champion of “WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup” 2022, as well as #116 Dustin Farthing, an American rider, Former two-time Champion of “WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup” 2008 and 2005 and a Japanese rider #86 Jun Ikoma.


#66 Muhammed Burbayea and #38 Mohammed Albaaz took the lead from the start as 1st and 2nd place, But #66 Muhammed Burbaye who showed consistent form with confidence and won in the 1st Moto. Followed by #116 Dustin Farthing and #1 Jeremy Perez took 2nd and 3rd places.

#116 Dustin Farthing sprinted off fast showing off his confidence and fantastic performance in Moto 2, from start to finish, winning this moto. The 2nd place went to #66 Muhammed Burbayea, while #1 Jeremy Perez took 3rd place.

In Moto 2, it was the return of reigning Polish champion #38 Mohammed Albaaz overtaking #116 Dustin Farthing, who took the lead first. But half way through, his boat suffered a technical problem that sadly sent him out of the race. This made #38 Mohammed Albaaz snatch the 1st placed, followed by his compatriot, #66 Muhammed Burbayea, in 2nd and #1 Jeremy Perez in 3rd.


In Final Moto, it was the battle of #38 Mohammed Albaaz, #66 Muhammed Burbayea and #1 Jeremy Perez, before Mohammed Albaaz showed his strongest performance and finished in 1st place, followed by Muhammed Burbayea, and Jeremy Perez in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

But with the overall scores from the three motos, #66 Muhammed Burbayea has 209 points to win the championship “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2023”, Round 2, Vichy - France. That beat compatriot, #38 Mohammed Albaaz, with 206 points to take second on the podium while homegrown rider, #1 Jeremy Perez, with 197 points finished third, respectively.
