The Waterjet World Championship Tournament, "WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2023", Round 3, IJSBA World Finals, between 4-8 October 2023, at Lake Havasu City, USA, has already ended. It turned out that in PRO Sport GP and PRO-AM Endurance Open and PRO Sport GP, both #111 Simon Belcher and #8, Jean-Bruno Pastorello showed off a world-class performance and continued to be in super top form by grabbing a triple trophy of this year. It’s a Triple Champion and they proved themselves to be “ Champions of Lake Havasu GRAND PRIX''.
In the PRO Sport GP, it’s still a rematch between 2 UK riders competing for the championship in this class, #111 Simon Belcher and #158 James Bushell.
After the start, American rider, #21 Brandon Warner rode to the finish line in 1st place, followed by #111 Simon Belcher. But the race director spotted he missed the buoy so his score was deducted and dropped to 3rd place. #111 Simon Belcher, then claimed the victory in this moto and #521 Talan Farthing, American rider, moved up to 2nd place also.
In Moto 2 and Final Moto,#111 Simon Belcher showed off his determination and stamina, taking the lead and winning in both motos. The 2nd went to #521 Talan Farthing and in both moto also.
When it came to the final scores of this class, #111 Simon Belcher showed the world with his World-class performance, made a perfect game and won all 3 motos in a row with a full 180 points. He reached the podium and was crowned the winner of the “WGP #1 Waterjet World Series 2023” Round 3, IJSBA World Finals - USA in PRO Sport GP. Hailed as Triple Champion, this is his 3rd victory in a row of this year's World Series. The 2nd and 3rd placed on the podium belonged to two American riders, #521 Talan Farthing and #21 Brandon Warner, respectively.
The PRO-AM Endurance Open has 16 racers from 10 countries around the world participating. They include #8 Jean-Bruno Pastorello, French rider and a four-time 2022, 2021, 2019 and 2017 “WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup” Champion and two-time 2022 and 2021 “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series” Champion, #22 Anthony Radetic, US rider, the Champion of “WGP#1 Waterjet Offshore World Championship” 2023, as well as, a tough rider from USA, #110 Tory Snyder.
As expected, nothing went wrong in Moto 1 when French rider and the defending champion, #8, Jean-Bruno Pastorello crossed the finish in the 1st place, followed by the riders from Indonesia, #19 Aqsa Aswar in 2nd place and #553 Kylie Ellmers, a girl made of steel from Australia, in 3rd place.
In Final Moto #8, Jean-Bruno Pastorello did not disappoint all French fans cheering him. He raced confidently, taking the lead from start to finish, and won in this moto. #110 Tory Snyder and #553 Kylie Ellmers came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In summary, the results of this class saw #8 Jean-Bruno Pastorello gave a perfect performance, winning in both motos with 800 full points, sending him to the podium as Champion of “WGP #1 Waterjet World Series 2023” Round 3, IJSBA World Finals - USA in PRO-AM Endurance Open. Rightfully he was dubbed Triple Championship after winning 3 consecutive times in a row of this year's World Series. #553 Kylie Ellmers made to the podium in 2nd, followed by #110 Tory Snyder in 3rd.
