Riders from 12 countries are racing in this first round. We are expecting more than 150 riders, over 200 classes, including 50-60 riders from outside Japan. These numbers meet the goal of WGP#1 to support the Asian Jet Ski Association, chaired by Mr. Fully Aswar. Our aims are to develop waterjet competitions in Asia to grow and shine even further in the future.

In this first year, we are opening the race to riders from other continents to fight for this championship title. We welcome world-class riders such as Jean Bruno Pastorello and Pastorello Hugo, riders from France and River Varner from USA etc. All of them will be there in Osaka to show off their power.

In addition, we would like to give a special quota to the top 4 riders in 4 pro categories of this round, including Pro Ski Grand Prix, Pro Sport GP, Pro-Am Runabout 1100 Open and Pro Runabout GP. These finalists will automatically get a quota to apply to compete in WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup, Thailand 2024. (In case the number of riders in each category is higher than specified, all riders have to compete in the HEAT&LCQ for qualifying.)
