#8 JEAN-BRUNO PASTORELLO & #27 MAMI KANEKO The Winners of "Siam Watercraft - WGP#1 Asian Championships 2024”- Japan

#8 Jean-Bruno Pastorello, French rider, was the only one from Europe to win in Asia. #27 Mami Kaneko became the pride of the Japan after winning the Waterjet Asian Championship Tournament, "Siam Watercraft - WGP#1 Asian Championships 2024”, Round 1 at Osaka - Japan, between 6-9 June 2024. This year more than 200 top riders from 17 countries participated in the tournament in Asia, Europe, America and Oceania.

In the opening season round of the ENDURANCE OPEN, there are 13 riders from 9 countries to join in. Those included the 3-time World Series Champion, #8 Jean-Bruno Pastorello from France who is the crowd’s favorite rider to win the championship in this class and the iron girl from New Zealand, #553 Kylie Ellmers, the one and only girl also racing in this class.

Moto 1 was such a very exciting game as #8 Jean-Bruno Pastorello started out to be in the lead. But after halfway of the race, Cambodian rider #33 Filin Saly made a surprise call in cheers from Asian fans by overtaking Jean-Bruno. It looked like he would win in the first moto but unfortunately, another surprise came in the final lap before he crossed the finish line. His boat hit a wave that sent him falling off the watercraft. That made Jean-Bruno Pastorello come back to lead and finished the race, collecting 60 points in Moto 1.

In Final Moto, #8 Jean-Bruno Pastorello didn't let history repeat itself like in Moto 1. This time he started confidently, taking the lead and crossing the finish line in 1st place. #7 Alexi Chernukha from Russia followed in 2nd place.

For the Overall Score, the winner of the ENDURANCE OPEN was #8 JEAN-BRUNO PASTORELLO from France earned the championship with a perfect game winning every Moto. #85 Yousif Al Khalfan from Kuwait followed in 2nd and #7 Alexi Chernukha in 3rd.

WOMEN SKI MODIFIED, 3 iron girls from the Rising Sun nation, Japan, #27 Mami Kaneko, #15 Kanae Tomiya and #69 Rokka Kamata performed excellently and finished 1st-3rd in Moto 1.

In Moto 2, #23 River Varner from USA showed off her spirit, refusing to give up. Even though she had a bad start in the 3rd place, she chased her rivals with all her unbelievable energy and overtook them until crossing the finish line in 1st. She was followed by #77 Hitomi Saito in 2nd.

In the Final Moto, #23 River Varner still raced in her strong top form. Even though she started off bad, chasing and overtaking the others were all she did until winning 1st place. The 2nd place went to #27 Mami Kaneko.



For the overall score of the 3 motos, WOMEN SKI MODIFIED, #27 Mami Kaneko, a rider from Japan stood victorious on the podium in 1st place, winning the championship in this class. Standing next were the 2nd and 3rd, #23 River Varner and #69 Rokka Kamata.
