#11 Waleed Alsharshani, a Qatar rider, created a big surprise, winning in the world's fastest and strongest sit-down watercraft in the Waterjet World Championship Tournament, “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2024" Opening Round, Between July 24- 28 2024 at Ostrow Warcki - Poland. This year, we are packed with over 200 riders from 30 countries participating including Asia, Europe, America, Africa and Oceania.

The Class of the Titans, PRO RUNABOUT GP, had 9 riders  from 7 countries joining, especially the dangerous duo from Kuwait, #38 Mohammad Albaaz, the latest 2023 World Champion, and #66 Mohammed Burbayea, the former 2021 World Champion. Both are the favorites to win the Poland Grand Prix 2024.

Moto 1, #38 Mohammad Albaaz started off by showing his top form, worthy of the latest world championship, leading from start and winning this moto. The 2nd and 3rd place went to #5 Gyorgy Kasza, a top rider from Hungary, and #11 Waleed Alsharshani from Qatar.

In Moto 2, #5 Gyorgy Kasza showed an aggressive performance and made no mistakes. He took off first and led from start to finish in 1st, leaving #66 Mohammed Burbayea and #11 Waleed Alsharshani in 2nd and 3rd, respectively. This moto closed with #5 Gyorgy Kasza in the lead with 113 points from the 2 motos.

In Moto 3, however, it’s showtime for #66 Mohammed Burbayea who was back on top of the game. The 2021 World Champion, he led from start and won in moto 3. The 2nd and 3rd places went to #71 Mattias Siimann from Estonia and #11 Waleed Alsharshani.

The Final Moto was a battle between 3 riders with close scores, #66 Mohammed Burbayea, #5 Gyorgy Kasza and #11 Waleed Alsharshani . After starting, #11 Waleed Alsharshani grabbed the holshot and took the lead, followed by #66 Mohammed Burbayea. But halfway through the race, #5 Gyorgy Kasza overtook #66 Mohammed Burbayea to take 2nd place. #11 Waleed Alsharshani never looked back and finished in 1st place, followed by #5 Gyorgy Kasza and #66 Mohammed Burbayea in 2nd and 3rd.

Overall scores, #11 Waleed Alsharshani and #5 Gyorgy Kasza had the same score of 204 points, but #11 Waleed Alsharshani won the final moto, thus winning the “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2024”- Poland Grand Prix in PRO RUNABOUT GP. #5 Gyorgy Kasza and #66 Mohammed Burbayea took the pole in 2nd and 3rd places.
