#99 Jessica Chavanne, A Champion of Vichy.

Over was the tournament "WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2023", Round 2, between 27-30 July 2023, at Vichy, France. In PRO-AM WOMEN SKI GRAND PRIX, #99 Jessica Chavanne declares victory in her homeland as "Champion of Vichy".

This year's second scoring event, the PRO-AM WOMEN SKI GRAND PRIX, has many “Iron Girls” participating from all over the world. There are #64 Jasmiin Ypraus, a rider from Estonia, former Champion of “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series” and “WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup” 2021, and #98 Emma-Neillie Ortendahl, a Swedish rider, the Champion of “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series” 2022. Also competing for the title are these rising stars, #96 Estelle Poret from France and #23 River Varner from the USA.

At the start of Moto 1, #99 Jessica Chavanne, a Local Dark Horse rider, surged into the lead and called for loud cheering from the home fans until snatching the finish line. She was the winner of Moto 1 in an unexpected way, leaving behind the 2nd place compatriot, #96 Estelle Poret, by several buoys. The third place went to #107 Benedicte Drange of Norway.

In Moto 2, it was the return of Champion of Round 1- Poland,#64 Jasmiin Ypraus. After a bad start that sent her to be in 3rd place, she later did a great job, showing her good performance and put pressure on #99 Jessica Chavanne who had a good start and was in the lead but later lost her concentration at the last minute. #64 Jasmiin Ypraus managed to overtaken Jessica and finished 1st, followed by the 2nd, #99 Jessica Chavanne and the 3rd, #23 River Varner.

In the Final Moto, #99 Jessica Chavanne returned with a vengeance, taking the lead until she won the race without having to worry about the rivals. The 2nd and 3rd were #98 Emma-Neillie Ortendahl and #64 Jasmiin Ypraus in this Moto.

Judging from the overall score, a French Dark Horse, #99 Jessica Chavanne made a surprise victory, winning the “WGP #1 Waterjet World Series 2023” Round 2 Vichy - France, with a total score of 173, beating #64 Jasmiin Ypraus the 2nd place with 147 points and #96 Estelle Poret with 135 points who ranked 3rd place.
