#26 Louie Buhisan
The Buhisan Phenomenon!
It was such a grand opening of the season at the world championship waterjet tournament,"WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2023", Round 2, between 27-30 July 2023, at Vichy, France. #26 Louie Buhisan creates the “Buhisan Phenomenon” by being the first Filipino to win the 2nd Round - France, as the "Champion of Vichy".
In the PRO RUNABOUT 1100 OPEN, it was the duel between 2 racers from ASEAN #142 Kasidit Theeraprateep, a rising star from Thailand and #26 Louie Buhisan from the Philippines. Both of them competed for the championship from the 1st Round - Poland. After starting in Moto 1, #142 Kasidit Teeraprateep took the lead. When passing the 2nd lap, #26 Louie Buhisan managed to overtake him and took the lead until the finish line. The second then sadly went to Kasidit Teeraprateep and Cambodian rider #11 Oumouet Saly took the 3rd place, respectively.

In Moto 2, it turned out that #26 Louie Buhisan and his craft were still going strong without a hitch. From the start, he raced with great speed to take the lead in front of #142 Kasidit Teeraprateep, who was trying his best to chase him hard. Unfortunately, Kasidit’s craft was broken which sent him to finally finished 4th. #26 Louie Buhisan took victory in another moto, followed by #11 Oumouet Saly and #35 Arianna Urlo of Italy.
In the Final Moto, at the start #26 Louie Buhisan raced out in 1st place, followed by #11 Oumouet Saly and #142 Kasidit Teeraprateep, who came in 2nd and 3rd. After 2 laps, #142 Kasidit Teeraprateep managed to outrace everyone and reached the finishing line first, snatching the victory in this moto. For #26 Louie Buhisan, it seemed like his craft had some technical problems, but it managed to carry him through to the finish line in 3rd place. The 2nd place went to #11 Oumouet Saly.
But with the overall scores from the 3 motos, #26 Louie Buhisan, with 168 points, won the “WGP #1 Waterjet World Series 2023” Round 2 Vichy - France, in PRO RUNABOUT 1100 OPEN. A rising star from Thailand, #142 Kasidit Teeraprateep, with 156 points, defeated #11 Oumouet Saly, with 154 points, took the podium as 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
